Looking at the hills, it is hard to believe that we are in the Pacific Northwest. The Cascade Mountains block most of the moisture from the Pacific Ocean. As a result Seattle is generally cloudy and damp while Wenatchee is generally sunny and dry. In the siding at Cashmere is a westbound train lead by C&S 912. Coming down hill on the mainline is Extra 6326 East. Below, I am almost at the same place but turned around 180 degrees as Train 3 (Pacific Zip) sprints west on June 22, 1979. Disk 6
