Since the lighting at Ripplemead made taking pictures of the meet almost impossible, we drove down to Pembroke (3 miles) in the hope that we could catch the westbound before it went through. Norfolk Western engines 1346, 6074, 6171, and 1387 pull a westbound train through Pembroke on April 7, 1986.
A few minutes later train CN86 came down the hill. I decided to shift to a little safer location as there was very little wiggle room at the previous vantage point. This also took the telephone poles out of the camera line. Disk 123
