I made a brief visit to Taylor University on May 7, 1981 in preparation for returning to college on the GI Bill. As I was leaving that afternoon, I noticed an eastbound going through town and a westbound in the siding. I headed west and caught the westbound leaving the siding with engines 3140 and 3102. During the three years I was in Upland I never heard much train activity on this old Pennsylvania Railroad line between Chicago and Columbus, Ohio. I think this was probably one of the last meets here at Upland as most of the time that I was there the siding was plugged with old empty auto racks. Disk 116
