It was late in the day when engine 2129 and another GP7 paused at East Tower in Amarillo on February 15, 1988. I think the tower was built in 1909. The better time for pictures would have been about noon, but East Tower was near the end of its life when I took these pictures.

On May 4, 1987 the BN began a couple new sprint trains between Denver and Irving, TX. The trains ran without cabooses (just a conductor and engineer) and were limited to 60 TOFC cars. Train 93 is many hours late as it should be through Amarillo around 8:00AM. Disk 104
