MP engine 1570 moves a block of piggyback flats with one container and five trailers through the Forest Avenue. The engine is taking these cars out to the MP intermodal terminal in Mesquite. This location is also called Endot. The track in the foreground is the Joint Line used mostly by the CRI&P and BN to reach Houston. It was built by the MKT between 1888 and 1890. It goes south to Waxahachie, where the CRI&P and BN branch off to Corsicana and the MKT then heads southwest to Hillsboro. At one time there was a tremendous amount of industry and warehouses in this area.
Just north of this location is Tower 19 at the crossing of the Santa Fe Railway. This is the southern end of the plant controlled by Tower 19. You can see the tower off in the distance beyond the last trailer. Further north is Dallas Union Station. Disk 94
