In 1888 the town of Amarillo was established next to a huge stockyard where cattle were held before being loaded into stock cars. A hundred years later, train QQ051 from the Houston Power & Light power plant is stopped east of the Santa Fe crossing at Amarillo (milepost 335) on February 15, 1988. The train had engines 5505, 5045, 5525, 5508, 5928, and ATSF 5094. This was an empty train headed for the Caballo mine. Disk 88
