The power from train 106 has cut off from the train and run into Smithville for servicing and a crew change on December 13, 1977. In another hour or so, engines 187, 306, 218, 182, and 320 will move back to pick up the train and then head to Waco.
The second train was train 186 with empty gondolas and hoppers for loading crushed rock at Georgetown. This train was photographed coming by the little community of Kirtley Gravel about half way between Smithville and West Point. In August 1988, Katy Industries sold the railroad to the Union Pacific.
