Late in the afternoon of on August 12, 1978, Extra 319 South is holding the main at Saginaw meeting a northbound train. Eight months later, Extra 4542 North was slowing to pick up train orders at the tower at Saginaw. The train is crossing over the Santa Fe mainline on April 14, 1979.
