SP engine 3326 by interlocking tower at Flatonia, TX

Flatonia was established on April 8, 1874 by the Galveston, Harrisburg and San Antonio Railway and named for pioneer F. W. Flato. The San Antonio and Arkansas Pass Railway building south from Waco crossed the Sunset Route here in 1887. The tower was built in 1902. Engine 3326 (with one headlight out) is coming through Flatonia on August 21, 1978. The tower that controlled movements through this busy junction is to the left.
