Knippa, originally known as Chatfield by the railroad it was later named for George Knippa who moved his family there in 1880. Engines 7808 and 7836 are stopping at Knippa (milepost 290) on November 1, 1990. The big GE U-boats of the 70s were replaced with the Baby-boats of the 80s.
