The Advanced Blue Streak Merchandise has just crossed the Pecos River Bridge and is coming into Shumla (milepost 431) on January 31, 1974. Extra 8771 West is coming into Anacacho (milepost 333) on December 5, 1977. Almost all of the wires were removed from the telephone poles after CTC was installed. Instead of code lines, all of the switches and signals are activated by microwaves. See the antenna next to the signal box.
