For many years the Roscoe, Snyder & Pacific handled the interchange traffic between the Santa Fe and the Texas & Pacific (later the MP). After an interchange track was installed south of Sweetwater between the two railroads in 1974 there was very little traffic left for the RS&P to handle.
The sun has just come up illuminating Roscoe, Snyder, and Pacific SW1 number 100 in 1977. The engine sits by the repair shop built by the RS&P in 1962.
RS&P engine 600 rests between assignments at the National Rail Car plant in Roscoe on July 28, 1988. The track between Roscoe and Snyder was removed in 1984. National Railcar is now Eagle Railcar Services. Disk 105
