At Forrest the TP&W crosses an old Wabash branch line between Chicago and Bement, IL. Bement was on the Detroit to Kansas City main line. In 1952 this branch line hosted three passenger trains: The Blue Bird, Banner Blue, and The Midnight. These passenger trains operated between St. Louis and Chicago. TP&W engines 2008 and 801 cross the N&W on August 12, 1982. |
