Engines 2009, 2008, and 2007 are pulling their train west toward Kentland. The train is slowing down and will stop east of town.

At Kentland, engines 2009, 2008, and 2007 are switching interchange traffic at Kentland. A former New York Central branch line between East Chicago, IN and Danville, IN crossed the TP&W at Kentland. This branch line was much busier further north as the NYC, then Penn Central, and later Conrail used the segment north of Schneider (29 miles north) and another branch line through Kankakee to interchange with the Santa Fe at Streator, IL.
