Northern Pacific semaphore signals at Cabin Creek, WA

The sun has set behind the mountains and train 79 (BN Extra 6309 West) is about to cross Cabin Creek on April 20, 1973. There was a short stretch of CTC over Stampede Pass installed by the Northern Pacific that was controlled by the operator at the Easton depot. The semaphore signals were removed when the line was mothballed in 1982. BNSF rebuilt the track was in 1996 to ease the strain on Stevens Pass. Disk 10
