Most of the SP (former T&NO) branch from Rosenburg, TX to the Rio Grande Valley was dark territory. However, a short stretch between Beeville and Skidmore had semaphore signals, since this part of the line also handled traffic between San Antonio and the Gulf coast. Extra 6622 West passes a pair of signals at Beeville on December 8, 1977. Beeville is at milepost 93 (measured from San Antonio).
