SP freight train symbol EUHOY at Deming

Santa Fe engines 7514 and 4004 wait behind the depot at Deming while train EUHOY slowly rolls by on December 3, 1977. Deming is at milepost 1208. The Santa Fe connected with the SP in Deming in March 1881 forming the second transcontinental railroad line across the US. Deming was the maiden name of Charles Crockers wife Mary. The depot was moved to a new site about a mile east in September 2004.
