SP freight train symbol HOWCY on the Cienega Bridge

Engines 7458, 8333, 7368, and 7674 lead train HOWCY across the Cienega Bridge on December 18, 1985. This bridge was built by the El Paso Southwestern in 1912. The bridge not only spans the wash but also carries the tracks over the original SP line along Cienega Creek. The El Paso & Southwestern was absorbed by the SP in November 1924.
