SP work train

SP engines 6316 and 6331 have just pulled their short work train into the clear at the east end of Mohawk siding on December 17, 1985. That is Interstate 8 bridging over the tracks above the caboose.

Train WCKCM

The work train has stopped at the east end of the siding to allow the WCKCM (West Colton to Kansas City Manifest) to squeeze into the west end of the siding. The WCKCM has engines 8378, 7857, 7765, and 9049.

Second section of the Blue Streak Merchandise

Moment later the 2BSMFF (Second section of the Blue Streak Merchandise) rumbles by with 8,565 tons of train in tow.
