Train EUHOY (Extra 8303 East) is dropping downgrade at Cabazon on November 28, 1977. Cabazon is at milepost 574. Note in this picture and the next the many strands of metal strap that litter the right of way. These are remnants from the many loads of lumber that the SP used to haul through the area. These would be a particular hazard to railfans as they would dangle over the sides of cars just about neck high. I always gave SP trains plenty of room. |
