Train RVWJM swings past Elvas Tower in Sacramento on June 10, 1987. The train has engines 7488 and 9295. The tower was three miles east of Sacramento and guarded the junction of the Roseville and Bakersfield Subdivisions. About 20 minutes later, the WCMEM will come by the interlocking tower. To avoid the congestion at Roseville Yard, it will swing west, then turn north at Davis on the West Valley Line. |
