Extra 8675 west (freight train symbol TXN) crests the top of the hill at Dragoon, AZ on February 1, 1974. The train will drop down the 1.0 to 1.4 percent grade to cross the San Pedro River at Benson. The U33Cs were assigned to Los Angeles for maintenace and worked the Sunset Route as far east as Houston or Pine Bluff ,AR.
