I had chased a train into Ashland earlier in the morning and would have had to wait about four hours for the next crew to come on duty to take the train over the hill to Weed. I decided there would be more action on the Natron Cut-off, so I drove to Grass Lake and set up to take a picture. I waited about four hours for this train to come along. Train EULAY (Extra 9095 West) was at the west end of the siding at Grass Lake (milepost 368) on July 7, 1979. |
