Southern Pacific train EUASY at Bena, CA

Extra 8801 east (train EUASY) passes the helper spur at Bena, CA on June 11, 1980. The lead unit was SP's second SD45. It was built in 1966, has 3,600 horsepower, and weighs 206 tons. This photo was taken from engine 8891, another SD45. Notice the L shaped wind shield.
