After taking the submarine from Bremerton, WA through the Panama Canal to Charleston, SC, I flew back to California to pick up my car. I can't visit California without taking some train pictures, so my brother and I headed to the Tehachapi Mountains. Freight train symbol RVSSE (Roseville Sunset East-extra 7919 east) is rumbling upgrade at Bealville in September 1973. In the background is a Santa Fe helper returning to Bakersfield. These units had helped train 968 (old GWS) up to Summit earlier in the day. |
