Train symbol RVSJA with engines 6508 and 7905 has just crested the summit of Altamont Pass on September 17, 1976. The engineer dimmed the headlight thinking it would make the picture better. I wish he had left it on. The SP line would later be abandonded and SP would use trackage rights over the Western Pacific.
