On February 11, 1974 an
eastbound train comes by the hill at the west end of the old Barstow Yard. Earth
moving equipment is digging a new course for the Mojave River as construction
begins on the new Barstow Yard.
The following were observed at West Barstow January 28, 1967.
GWS east with engines 1396, 1360, 1354, 842 caboose 1519 cupola to front from Mojave arrived in Barstow at 1020AM later reversed and went west to Victorville.

The following were observed at West Barstow July 7, 1967.
GY-33 west with engines 915, 1703, 1405 to Victorville left Barstow at 519AM for Victorville.
