During the 70s, most of the scheduled UP trains into Los Angeles arrived between 530PM and 400AM, so it was tough to catch westbounds during daylight. Train LAM is ahead of schedule as it passes Bartolo on Oct. 30, 1976 with engines 3170, 78B, 74, and 3287. The train's destination is just seven miles ahead at the UP yard in East Los Angeles. |
