Train NPST leaves Palisade on Sept. 16, 1987. It has engines 2444, 3481, and SP7311 pulling 63 loads, 12 empties, 6,656 tons. This freight train began in the 70s as the SNF (Stockton Forwarder). The schedule was deleted in March 1983 and reinstated in early 1986 as the NPST.
