Wendover, NV is at milepost 807. Engines 3008, 3545, 3054, and UP 3036 lead train GGM east through Wendover on August 15, 1981. The train will soon cross into Utah and be on the longest stretch of straight track (about 40 miles) on the Western Pacific. |

Unfortunately Interstate 80 runs north of the Western Pacific tracks and there are very few places where you can get on the sunny side of the tracks. However, with the sun about to set and a nice curve I was able to catch the train again at Clive, Utah. Disk 29 |
