The Dallas Subdivision begins at Texarkana (mp0), runs almost due south to Marshall (mp66), then turns due west to Fort Worth's Centennial Yard (mp251). This is the old T&P line to El Paso, which uses 88 miles of SP trackage west of Sierra Blanca (mp769). HOPI left Houston yesterday at 245PM with 85 loads and nine empties. It arrived in North Little Rock at 740AM with engines 202, 2535, MP3151, and MP6065. It would leave later this afternoon with 83 loads and 11 empties. HONL departed Houston yesterday at 245PM with 78 loads and eight empties. It picked up 14 loads at Spring and departed at 500PM. It met INFW and CHDAZ at Woodlawn (mp59) and flagged through the signals from the east end of Woodlawn to the west end of Jefferson, because the NLLD was fouling the west circuit at Jefferson. It came into North Little Rock with engines 3663, 3503, MP4678, MP3256, and 3284 and tied up at 820AM. N152 left Shreveport at 520PM yesterday with engines 204, MP6043 and 4056 pulling nine loads and 47 empties. It picked up at Reisor and departed with 28 loads and 80 empties. It left Texarkana at 340AM with 31 loads and 87 empties. It set out seven loads and 28 empties at Gurdon (mp426) and picked up 14 loads and 21 empties at Malvern (mp389). It came into North Little Rock at 1010AM with 38 loads and 80 empties. FWIN departed from Fort Worth yesterday at 550PM with engines 205, CR6341, CR6299, and 3804 pulling 27 loads and 29 empties. It set out engine 3804 at Mesquite for the DANOZ, picked up 28 loads at Longview, met INFW at Texarkana, and pulled into North Little Rock at 1110AM. If the XHOCHT (currently at Texarkana) could get ahead of the FWIN, it would pick up five cars at Bald Knob for Avon Yard. Later, it would set out 40 cars at Salem and continue with 75 cars for Conrail. LAD50 left El Dorado at 340AM with engines 4623 and 4629 pulling 30 loads and 32 empties. After changing crews and adding engines 2224 and 4601, it left Gurdon at 825AM with 37 loads and 26 empties. It was now at Bauxite Jct. (mp364). NLLD left North Little Rock at 1050AM with engines 3290, 4224, MP3055, and MP3008 dragging 75 loads and 33 empties. It was now preparing to stop at Malvern (mp389) and set out ten cars. N153 departed North Little Rock at 935AM with engines 2467, MP3212, and 4263 pulling 108 loads and 17 empties. It was now rolling through Arkadelphia (mp411). NLHO with 57 loads and 58 empties pulled by engines 4302, 3209, 2252, and MP4633, left North Little Rock at 850AM. It had just gone into emergency near Gurdon. The crew would find an empty car with a bad order train line and set the car out at Gurdon. LAD51 departed North Little Rock at 300AM with engines MP2282, MP4651, MP4528, and MP1702 pulling 24 loads and 53 empties. It came into Gurdon (mp426) at 550AM with four loads and 20 empties. It set out two units, picked up three loads and three empties, changed crews and departed at 915AM. It was now cruising up the Gurdon Branch and would arrive in El Dorado at 100PM.
RSPZ departed from San Antonio yesterday at 1240PM with 49 loads and 10 empties. It was delayed 10 minutes at Milano while a Santa Fe train cleared the crossing, and waited an hour out side of Palestine for the NLHO and CHHOZ to leave town, so it could get in and change crews. It picked up four loads at Marshall and then waited two and a half hours for the NLLD, NYDAZ, and AIZ to clear. It arrived at Texarkana at 1020AM and the symbol was changed to XHOCHT. It would leave with engines MP3521 and 4061 at 130PM with 40 loads and eight empties. It would set out 22 cars at Bald Knob (nine TOFC flats for the NLAST, eight TOFC flats for the NLME, and five cars for the FWIN), set out eight cars at Dupo, and go on to Chicago with 18 cars. CHFWZ had engines MP9046 and MP9059. It departed from Yard Center at 425PM yesterday with 32 loads, 2,346 tons. After setting out three loads of mail and picking up 13 loads at Dupo, it departed at 1140PM with 42 loads at 2,911 tons. It had just departed from Texarkana at 1146AM and was making good time. Although CHFWZ left Chicago 25 minutes late, it was now running over an hour early. However, the LAE59 had derailed two cars shoving into the house track at Jefferson (mp51). The cars were fouling the main line and the CHFWZ would lose an hour and ten minutes waiting for the cars to be rerailed. INHO left Salem yesterday at 125AM with engines 3913 and 4307 pulling 10 loads and 42 empties at 2,706 tons. It ran around the INFW making a pick up at Gorham. At Quarry, it met SP train LFASM and let the CHHOZ and FWIN run around it. It was in the siding at Woodlawn waiting for another crew. NLLD departed from North Little Rock at 940AM yesterday with engines 219, MP4663, MP4533, 2173, and 2063 pulling 18 loads and 45 empties. It left Texarkana at 815PM with 91 loads and 46 empties. It let the XCHHO run around it at Sulphur. It suffered engine problems going through Atlanta and stalled when it overshot the end of the siding at Jefferson to let the CHDAZ and INFW pass. It couldn't back up to clear the circuit, so they had to flag the red signal at the west end. After the arrival of the N152 and HONL, the INHO shoved the NLLD out of the siding to get it moving again. The train stalled again at (mp66) near Marshall. The NYDAZ shoved it into the clear and then ran around it. At Marshall, it picked up engine MP3097, set out earlier by the INFW, and set out 45 loads. At Longview, it set out 36 loads and 35 empties and engines 2173 and 2063. It picked up 18 loads and 22 empties and departed at 1150AM. N122 left Fort Worth at 210AM with engines 3344, 3743, and MP3058 pulling 46 loads and 61 empties. It was now approaching the SP crossing at Big Sandy (mp113). At Longview, it would set out 39 loads and 14 empties. These units came into Fort Worth yesterday on the HOKC.
FWNO was called for 400PM and would have engines MP3304, 4281 and 4236. FWEP was just leaving Fort Worth with engines 2533, MP3185, MP2311, 3223, 4275, and 4131 pulling 67 loads and 35 empties.
