The next morning (June 16, 1981), engines 8001 and 6385 lead train 75 through Hecla. The engines are pulling 78 cars.

I always enjoyed the railroad lines away from the big cities. The railroaders seemed to be friendlier. As we were following this train we were listening in on my scanner and heard the following conversation:
Engineer, "Hey there are a couple pretty girls in this car at the crossing - you better grab Herby so he doesn't jump"
About a mile later were heard this reply.
Conductor, "I had to grab Herby by the shirt tails, but Herby didn't jump." Disk 82
