The first train arrived in Billings on August 22, 1882. The town was named for Frederick H. Billings, a president of the Northern Pacific Railroad. Billings has roughly doubled in size about every 30 years and today is the largest city in Montana. The weed sprayer train is making a hasty departure from East Billings on May 20, 1992. Disk 12
