Striking a classic pose that was repeated many times during the era of train orders, the operator is out to hand up train orders at Marias, MT on June 21, 1979. The train has engines 6510, 6467, 5532, and 2215 and the freight train symbol is 76.

Later the same morning train symbol X13 picks up a set of orders at the station. The first three engines are 6534, 6552, and 5624. I missed the number on the fourth unit. This is the lowest crossing of the Continental Divide north of New Mexico. The elevation here is 5,213 feet.
