Train SCHK is dropping down grade from Kamela entering the small town of Meacham on Sept. 11, 1987. It has engines 6009, 6050, 6038, and 3968. SCHK was schedule into Hinkle at 600AM. The picture was taken late in the afternoon from the front porch of engine 3716 (on a work train), so this SCHK was many hours late. The next day freight train SCHK would be closer to schedule and get out of LaGrande at 815AM with 54 loads, 25 empties, 6904 tons.
