AT&SF Railway freight train stops for water at the Marmon, NM coaling tower

We are just east of Laguna about a mile northwest of where Interstate 40 bridges over the double track today. This is Marmon and the train has stopped to add water and possibly coal. The track to the left is a siding and the track to the right is the eastward main.

BNSF double stack train SMEMLBA at Marmon, NM

The SMEMLBA has a mix of double stack containers and empty double stack platforms. The train is passing the rock cliffs at the Marmon crossover on October 19, 2006.
