East of Spokane is Wallace, Idaho. Although this isn't in Washington it doesn't fit anywhere else so is included here. On June 25, 1979 I was headed back to Texas after visiting friends in the Seattle area. As I drove through the little town of Wallace I caught a glimpse of a steam engine. I quickly reversed course. I got two pictures before security told me that I was trespassing on a movie set and that I had to leave. The engine was performing for the movie Heavens Gate. These pictures have become two of my favorites. Disk 9
