Train PDNPP is out of Lava Hot Springs and climbing the grade to Blaser. This part of the chase is best during the morning as eastbound trains are going almost due north and the road is on the east side of the tracks. UP symbol PDNPP began June 20, 1983 as the ASPF (Advanced Seattle, Portland Fruit) and became the PDNPP on September 23, 1986. It would operate from Portland as required and normally originated at Hinkle. Disk 17
Near the same location, train 2GQKACB rumbles passed with abundant power on June 8, 1989. Disk 18
