The Georgia Railroad ran 171 miles from Augusta to Atlanta. On October 6, 1978 Extra 1028 East appears to be having a face off with Extra 751 West at Union Point. The Georgia Railroad was merged into the Seaboard Coast Line in November 1982. Disk 131

Family Lines coal train at Union Point, Georgia

Earlier that same day former L&N 3594, now Family Lines, leads a coal train east through Union Point. The train had engines 3594, 3593, and 3592 in reverse numerical order.
