Union Pacific doublestack train symbol APLA1 Castle Rock

Train APLA1 has engines 9220, 9232, 3365, and 9004 with 100 loads, 5,605 tons at Castle Rock on June 7, 1989. This doublestack train is running a couple of hours late as this symbol is scheduled to leave Green River at 345AM and get into Salt Lake City at 855AM.

The east and westbound mains separate for about 15 miles between Emory and the summit at Wahsatch. You can see the eastbound main on the hillside in the background. The westbound main crosses over the eastbound main four miles to the east at Curvo.
