Freight trains meet at the flyover Frost, CA

A Santa Fe eastbound on its way to Barstow is gliding under a Union Pacific westbound at the flyover at Frost, CA on November 3, 1977. Frost is about a mile and a half south of Victorville. I think the UP train is the Advanced Los Angeles Forwarder. It has engines 6906, 8068, and 6934 (two DD40Xs and a Fast 40). The Santa Fe eastbound was one of several that operated each day from the Los Angeles Basin with cars for reclassification at the new hump yard in Barstow.
