A few minutes later the PM Turn (also the Joe City Coal) branches off of the Gallup Sub at Defiance, NM for the North Tipple on the Defiance Branch. Because of the many back-up moves the train had to make at Joseph City, it continued to use a caboose several years after most cabooses had been replaced by EOT boxes.
