C&S caboose 10660 brings up the rear of a loaded Houston Power and Light coal train on March 22, 1980. The rear brakeman on extra BN 5022 west is just about to snag the train orders at the McGregor, TX depot. Passengers are gathering on the platform for the afternoon Amtrak train. At the end of 1997, BNSF was delivering 35 trains a month to the plant at Smithers Lake, TX.
