Columbus and Greenville Railway engine 525 at Greenwood, Mississippi

The Columbus and Greenville Railway operated 162 miles of track in northern Mississippi between its namesake cities. The Illinois Central Gulf acquired the C&G in 1972 intending to abandon much of the line. However, due to litigation from shippers the ICG unloaded the property in 1975. C&G Engine 525 was at Greenwood, Mississippi on October 20, 1978. Disk 133
