Cliff is well named. From here you can look down on the tiny hamlet of Caliente. It is not a straight drop off, but if a train derails, cars can roll all the way down to the riverbed 600 feet below. Extra 8945 East is almost to the east end of the siding at Cliff on July 12, 1979.
