Via Train 1 glides downgrade past Extra 5926 East at Cathedral and then stops at the west end of the siding on July 18, 1981. The engineer must have used the engine brakes to stop as there is a lot of brake shoe smoke rising from the units. The passenger train has engines 1406, 8508, and 8515. Cathedral is at milepost 132 on the Laggan Subdivision.
