The sun glints off the eastbound Canadian as it approaches Semlin on May 22, 1980. The scenery from Kamloops down to Ashcroft looks more like a desert than the lush green forests that you would expect in the damp Pacific Northwest. Semlin is at milepost 38 on Canadian Pacific's Thompson Subdivision. This is one of the few pictures that I haven't updated. I am wondering whether to leave it in this series or not.
