Milwaukee, Saint Paul and Pacific Railroad caboose on the Maytown Turn

A four train meet is about to take place in Maytown, WA on April 19, 1973. The Milwaukee Road Maytown Turn has pulled just clear of the junction switch. The train is not in a siding but is headed west on the Milwaukee Road branch line down to Aberdeen. The Chehalis Western empty log train has just arrived. Since the railroads are using old single channel radios the two trains cannot communicate with each other. The engineer of the Chehalis Western train is calling the operator back at Western Junction and asking him to call the engineer on the Maytown Turn to pull forward another forty car lengths. Chehalis Western engine 684 is an Alco C415 built in July 1968. Disk 10
