I am standing in the middle of the BN bridge on the Stampede Pass line. Milwaukee Road extra 2060 west (train 201) is rolling over the nice concrete bridge at Cabin Creek on April 20, 1973. On the point are engines 2060 and 2008 (GP40s) and cut in two-thirds deep are radio controlled helpers 4005 (SD45) and 8502 (U33C). A month earlier, I had a dramatic encounter with God about a half mile north of this spot. That encounter not only changed my life, it helped me take better train pictures.
