The CNW built a new line from Joyce on the Union Pacific west of Morrill to connect with the old Cowboy Line near Crandall to access the Powder River Basin coal mines in 1984. Just west of Morrill, NE, C&NW train symbol NWNAX swings over the Burlington Northern's Valley Subdivision to Guernsey on May 18, 1992. This train is returning from Arkansas Power and Light Independence Steam Electric Station at Newark, AR and will load at the North Antelope mine. Disk 81
